About us
Hillwood Academy is situated about 30 kms from Haridwar town on the Haridwar Roorkee Road. It is a pollution free campus with the best facilities. The classrooms are big & airy as per CBSE norms the school is co-educational & operates from nursery to class-X at present which will extend upto class-XII soon. The School is run by the Gajendra Shiv Narain educational Society which is headed by the social activitist & philanthropist Mrs. Vinita Juyal. Our aim is to provide holistic education in the interior of uttrakhand. The idea behind Hillwood is to provide quality & all round education to the under previledged children of the ghad area which is educationally & economically backward. Mr. Umesh Dwivedi , the principal of Hillwood Academy is a well know educationist & environmentalist who served for 34 years at the elite St. paul’s school ,Darjeeling in various capacities including as a Teacher, Head of department, head of the faculty, senior House Master & Administrator.
Mr. Dwivedi is also the chief editor of Himalayan Paryavaran , an internationally accalaimed journal and writes regulary for the national daily newspapers. He has also served on various expert committees of the govt.
